I took some portraits of my good friends when I lived in Edinburgh. These images were taken in 2009, but I am revisiting some old images and processing them. These are desaturated to about a quarter, and then I have applied a little smoothing to the face and removed a few dust spots. I like the pastel colours and slightly old world look to them. I feel like my processing skills in particular have developed quite a bit in the last year, and I now feel confident tackling images such as these in a variety of ways.
I keep forgetting about the different effect you can achieve by de-saturating slightly. These have a more dreamy, romantic luck without being saccharine-sweet.
